floket:

Yes. Now compare this to any other CEO in the USA. Would they ever, any of them, be capable of thinking of their companies, of the people who worked in those companies, more than themselves? Would they ever think that the best way to save their companies, and their workers, would be to cut their own personal profits, and redistribute the funds saved? To keep everyone employed, and working, and better able to pay their own bills, over simply increasing their own personal wealth?

Until we figure that out, until every CEO really, deep down, gets why this is important…our economy is going to continue to suffer, along with our workers and our collective health. We won’t be a strong country; we won’t be a healthy company; we’ll have poor education, poor nutrition, rising unemployment and rising crime.

And it’s well within the capacity of those CEOs to change all of this, and save our country, and maybe the world. So how selfish are they? How much do they value personal gain over the needs of the world as a whole?

My guess is: they won’t change. But then, I’m a cynic.

If only the greed in the world were more of a rarity. Hats off to this CEO. I wish more would follow his example.

I want to fly on his planes. Also he possibly has a fat stash of shares, like Steve Jobs got paid $1 a year or something...
